Adult Services Book Discussion Kits

The Oswego Public Library District has discussion kits available for those who need multiple copies of books for discussion groups. The kits include a tote bag, up to 10 copies of the book, discussion questions, information about the author, and sometimes other materials to enhance the reading experience. Please contact Adult Services at 630-978-1024 for more information or to reserve a kit.

Guidelines for Use

  • The loan period for book discussion kits is 6 weeks. They may not be renewed.
  • Holds may not be placed on book discussion kits. However, kits may be reserved in advance by contacting Adult Services.
  • Reserved kits should be picked up at the Adult Services Desk and taken to the Circulation Desk for checkout.
  • Kits are checked out to one person. Members of the group should get their books from the person who checked out the kit. Discussion kit books are checked out only as part of the kit, not individually.
  • The person who checks out the kit is responsible for returning the complete kit.
  • The fine for overdue book discussion kits is 20¢ per item per day, including the bag, each book, and any other material checked out as part of the kit. There is no grace period.
