Thursday Book Discussion Group

Provides an opportunity for readers to share insights and discover new books. The group meets at 1 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. The reading schedule is: August 11Trudi's Garden (Laurie Bohlke), September 8 The Book Thief (Markus Zusak).

Mystery Book Club

Discusses plots, settings and characters of favorite mysteries. The group operates autonomously, with use of the program room and library support. The group meets monthly on the third Monday at 7 p.m. The reading schedule is: August 17 Liar, Liar (K. J. Larsen), September 14 Death Notice (Todd Ritter), October 19 Miss Dimple Disappears (Mignon F. Ballard), November 16 Family Skeletons (Rett MacPherson), December 21 The Fat Man: A Tale of North Pole Noir (Ken Harmon).

Classics & Award Winners Book Discussion Group

This group meets the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Nancy Finley, Adult Services Librarian, leads the discussion. The reading schedule is: August 4 A Yellow Raft in Blue Water (Michael Dorris), September 1 Such a Pretty Face (Cathy Lamb), October 6 All Other Nights (Dara Horn), November 3 Cleopatra (Stacy Schiff), December 1 Major Pettigrew's Last Stand (Helen Simonson).
