3D Printing is available at the library!
Submit Your Project
- First, create your design. Use an existing design from thingiverse.com, or design your own.
- Submit your .STL file to 3DPrintClub@oswego.lib.il.us
- In your email, include your name, phone number, library card number, item description, the color you want your item to be, and which library campus for pick-up.
- Your item will be printed in the order in which it is received.
- Completion time is usually three days to one week.
- The library may decline to print your item if there are issues getting it to print, or if designs are violent, inappropriate, or violate copyright laws.
- A library card is required for 3D Printing.
After Your File Is Printed
- Staff will contact you by email or phone when your item is ready for pick-up. Print jobs will be discarded after one month if not picked up.
- You must pay for your item at the Circulation Desk prior to pick-up.
- Staff are not responsible for removing supports or rafts from print jobs.
Pricing
The price is based on the final weight of your item (including rafts and supports).
- Standard Plastic: $0.25 per gram
- Specialty Plastic (available upon request): TBD
- You are not responsible for the cost of failed prints.
